Hunger Relief in Central Ohio

Everyone deserves access to nutritious food. The Salvation Army in Central Ohio offers neighborhood food pantries, monthly senior food boxes, and a free hot lunch program to help neighbors eat well with dignity.

Our Impact in 2024:

  • 709,634 meals provided to individuals and families
  • 42,024 people served through pantries, produce giveaways, and senior food programs
  • 3,001 senior food boxes delivered to older adults
  • 1,592 hot meals served through Lord’s Table and Heart to Heart

Neighborhood Choice Food Pantries

We operate six neighborhood food pantries across Central Ohio. A typical visit provides three to five days of balanced groceries, free of charge.

What you can expect

  • Choice-based selection of nonperishables, with a focus on grains, canned vegetables/fruits, proteins, and pasta.
  • Referrals and resources for longer-term food support, including connections to additional food bank locations.

Walk-in appointments may be available for emergencies if resources allow.

We serve all without discrimination.

Senior Food Boxes (Franklin County)

Seniors 60+ who meet income guidelines at or below 130% of the Federal Poverty Level and live in Franklin County may receive a monthly food box. Call 614-437-2134 for information.

Free Hot Lunch Program (Hilltop)

All are welcome Wednesdays and Fridays, 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m., for a free hot meal at 2300 West Mound Street in Columbus’s Hilltop neighborhood.
