When winter’s chill sets in, no one should have to choose between staying warm and meeting other essential needs. The HeatShare program, a partnership between The Salvation Army and Columbia Gas of Ohio, provides critical assistance to households struggling to afford their gas heating bills. Together, we bring hope, warmth, and relief to families across Ohio.
What is HeatShare?
HeatShare is a utility assistance program designed to help Columbia Gas of Ohio customers experiencing financial hardships. Whether facing disconnection or needing to restore service, HeatShare offers grants to alleviate the burden of utility costs and keep families safe and warm.
Expanded Support for Greater Impact
The program has recently been expanded to serve even more Ohioans:
- Eligibility Doubled: Now available to households earning up to 300% of the federal poverty line (previously 150%).
- Increased Funding: With $700,000 in annual contributions from Columbia Gas of Ohio, we’re able to reach more families in need.
- More Help, Where It’s Needed Most: Administered locally by The Salvation Army, HeatShare provides support tailored to the unique needs of each community in Columbia Gas’s service area.
