The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
The Salvation Army helps people in need through ministries and social service programs that meet people at their point of need and bring hope.
We offer long-term solutions to the problems of homelessness, drug addiction, low literacy, unemployment and poverty. We are in the business of changing lives--one person at a time. In 2015, the Army responded to more than 123,320 service needs and requests in Central Ohio. And yet, there is still much more to be done.
