Direct Housing Case Manager 
Deadline July 10

 

Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 40 hours/week, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with a 30-minute meal break.

Job Focus:  The Direct housing Program aims to assist homeless families into affordable, safe, and stable housing in accordance with the Housing First model.  The case management team provides short-term housing location and stabilization services, including financial assistance and intensive home-based case management.  Service knowledge for this position must include the following social service case management skills:  referral/linkage to community resources, advocacy, negotiation, data entry, networking, documentation, budget planning, understanding of landlord-tenant law, crisis intervention, and case plan goal development and monitoring.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work preferred, licensed social worker preferred
  • Experience in working in the field of housing and homelessness preferred
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive, contagious “can-do” attitude
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • At least 21 years old with and the ability to obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards.

Temporary Delaware County Housing Case Manager 
Deadline July 10

Classification: Temporary, Full-Time, Non-Exempt, up to 37.5 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.   This position’s office is in Delaware, Ohio.

Job Focus:  This position will provide short to medium-term home-based case management to homeless families and families in housing crisis in Delaware and Morrow Counties. Case management services include life skills training, case plan goal development, budgeting, employment search and preparation, referral and linkage to community resources and transporting clients. Other duties include processing client intake and assessment forms, and data collection maintenance. Ideal candidate must be able to work independently.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • An understanding of and passion for The Salvation Army’s Mission
  • Licensed Social Worker or Social Work Assistant license, preferred
  • Experience working in the field of housing and homelessness preferred
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to work with a diverse population
  • Ideal candidate MUST be able to work independently
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s license and the ability obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards

Supportive Services for Veteran Families Case Manager

Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 37.5 hours/week, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.  This position’s office is in Marysville, Ohio.

Job Focus:  This position is responsible for case management services in the Union, Logan and Madison Counties.  Services include crisis intervention/emergency lodging, housing search, case plans, financial literacy/budgeting, transportation, employment search/linkage, referral and linkage to community resources.  Other duties include completion of client intake and assessment forms, data collection, and HMIS entry.  The ideal candidate must be able to work independently.
