Delaware County Housing Case Manager    
Deadline: October 31

Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 37.5 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.   This position’s office is in Delaware, Ohio.

Job Focus:  This position will provide short to medium-term home-based case management to homeless families and families in housing crisis in Delaware and Morrow Counties. Case management services include life skills training, case plan goal development, budgeting, employment search and preparation, referral and linkage to community resources and transporting clients. Other duties include processing client intake and assessment forms, and data collection maintenance. Ideal candidate must be able to work independently.

East Main Corps Driver - Seasonal     
Deadline: October 25

Classification:  Temporary, Part-Time, mid-November through December 2019.  Monday – Saturday; approximately 4 hours each evening with potential for more on Saturdays; hours not to exceed 29 hours per week. 

Job Focus:  The Kettle Driver will be responsible to assist the corps officers by providing for the safe pick up and transport of Bell Ringers and of red kettles to The Salvation Army every evening following Bell Ringer shifts.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Ability to drive a 12-passenger van.
  • Complete Salvation Army defensive driving course and be added to the approved driver list.

Office Assistant Chapel at Worthington Woods    
Deadline: November 4

Classification: Part-Time, Non-Exempt,  25 hours/week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday:  9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Wednesdays 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Job Focus:  This position will provide support with the general operation of the office and the material assistance ministry.  Will provide professional presence in the reception area. Perform general office clerical duties as assigned.  Respond to all material assistance and direct service phone calls, walk-ins and inquiries.  Provide in-take services for the social assistance programs that The Salvation Army is offering.

Education Coordinator

Classification: Full-Time, Exempt, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Job Focus:  The position provides administrative leadership to all Columbus Area after school learning centers and summer day camps, including supervision of Site Coordinators, writing of grant applications and reports, fiscal oversight, and maintenance of positive relationships with Columbus City Schools and other community partners.

Volunteer and Events Coordinator

Classification: Part-Time, Non-Exempt,  25 hours/week, Monday-Friday. 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Job Focus:  This position is responsible to recruit, process, and assist with the coordination and scheduling of volunteers.  This position will also provide coordination for events including, but not limited to:  Sporting Clays for Food, Thanksgiving Day Dinner, Annual Charitable Giving Seminar, and the LemonAiD Campaign.  Provides some administrative and clerical support to the Development Director.

Job Focus:  Seeking an individual to provide direct assistance with the day-to-day upkeep of Greater Columbus Area Services properties.  This includes, but is not limited to, performing building, equipment, and vehicle maintenance, painting, grounds keeping, cleaning, event set-up and clean up, and transporting of donations.  Must be available for emergencies on nights and weekends.  This position will work from 966 E. Main Street.
