Help us cover over 20,000 hours of bell ringing at Red Kettles this season! The Red Kettle Campaign is The Salvation Army's single biggest fundraiser. Funds raised support year-round programming. We need individuals, volunteer groups, families, churches, and businesses to make the campaign a success. The campaign runs Monday to Saturday from November 16th through December 24th. Most kettles are out from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. It's easy, fun and there are over 80 locations in Central Ohio from which to choose. SIGN UP or for more information on how you can adopt the kettle for a day or half day email Nikki Fogg at email@example.com, Volunteer & Events Coordinator, or call 614.358.2627. For additional information please download our Bell Ringing Guide.
The Red Box Campaign provides a family in need with a turkey, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables, milk, eggs, bread, butter, a dessert and even a game for the family to enjoy. The cost of a single Red Box is $50. How many families can you help? Make an ONLINE DONATION today.
Any individual, group, church, organization, or business is able to sponsor a Toy Drive to support our Christmas efforts. Collected toys are distributed to children in this community through the Christmas Cheer program. Last year over 10,000 children received a new toy. REGISTER ONLINE to host a toy drive.
Help families register to receive Christmas Assistance through The Salvation Army's Christmas Cheer program. Volunteers are needed at our 5 Franklin County Service Centers (760 Worthington Woods Blvd, 3662 Karl Rd, 2300 W Mound St, 966 E Main St, and 888 Parsons Ave) to greet families and help the head of household complete registration information. A brief training will be provided when volunteers arrive. There are both morning and evening shifts available on multiple dates in October and November. If interested please contact Erika Shemberg at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 614-437-2146.
Help assemble boxes, decorate the center, sort food and toys, fill food boxes, check in families, distribute food and toys, assist clients to their cars, and clean up. We serve close to 6,000 families through Christmas Cheer. Volunteers are needed December 17-21, 2018 at the Lausche Building on the Ohio State Fairgrounds. Due to the high demand of individuals and groups wanting to volunteer for this opportunity, preference will be given to those who support the program through holding a toy drive or by providing financial support. Various shifts are available and will be posted by mid-October.
