We need help year-round to operate our 29 programs and services. Without the generous support of volunteers, it would not be possible to manage everything that The Salvation Army offers. With a few hours a week, month or season, you can make a difference in the lives of those in need.

Would you consider yourself a heavy lifter? We need volunteers to deliver food boxes to Central Ohio agencies that serve senior citizens. Volunteers must be at least 13 years of age and able to lift 25-pound boxes.
Do you have spare time at night or on the weekends? We need volunteers to staff our 24-hour Anti-Human Trafficking hotline and respond to the immediate needs of clients or law enforcement calling in. Volunteers are trained and asked to answer the hotline for a one-month period. Want to help people prepare for better job opportunities? We need Classroom Aides, Math, Reading and Computer Lab Monitors, Employers to promote job openings and organizations and schools to partner with to promote educational opportunities.
Do you wish to positively influence kids and have a passion for math and reading? We need tutors and mentors to work with 1-8th grade students from Columbus City schools in one of our four After-School Learning Centers. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and the committment is only one day a week for two hours for a minimum of 10 weeks.

TWO - Mail in or drop-off your forms, along with $12.50 to cover the cost of the background check, at our offices at 966 East Main Street, Col OH 43205, Attention Nikki Fogg, Volunteer Coordinator. Once your forms are received and processed, you will be provided a link to sign-up for convenient shifts.
